(UNDERWATER NAVIGATION DIVER PSAI)
This course is designed for divers who want to expand their knowledge and experience in underwater navigation using a compass and reference points on the seabed.
WHY IT'S WORTH HAVING UNDERWATER NAVIGATION SKILLS?
Because sometimes during diving, we lose our orientation and are unable to find our way back.
REQUIREMENTS FOR CANDIDATES:
• minimum age of 15 (consent of both parents or guardians for those under 18)
• possession of basic or youth diving qualifications
• current medical examination
EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS:
• basic SCUBA diving equipment
• compass
THEORETICAL SESSIONS:
1. Water environment
a) visibility
b) sound
c) currents

2. Natural navigation
a) seabed contours
b) underwater objects
c) currents

f) depth
3. Compass
a) types
b) structure
4. Compass use
5. Estimation of distances
PRACTICAL SESSIONS:
• diving on a specified azimuth
• diving according to a predetermined geometric figure
QUALIFICATIONS UPON COURSE COMPLETION:
Upon completion of the course, the participant is authorized to dive using a compass and underwater navigation.
