This course is designed for divers who want to learn how to navigate consciously underwater and move with precision in the aquatic environment. The training develops orientation skills, route planning, and increases safety and confidence during every dive.
REQUIREMENTS FOR CANDIDATES:
- minimum age 15
- IDF Open Water Diver certification (or equivalent certification from another diving organization)
- medical fitness to participate in the course
COURSE DURATION:
- Theory Module
- Practical Module in Open Water Conditions
THEORETICAL TRAINING:
The course is conducted based on the student manual and lectures delivered using official IDF training materials. Topics include:
- fundamentals of underwater navigation
- natural navigation – observing the environment and orientation
- use of a compass underwater
- planning and executing dive routes
- preparation for the theoretical exam
PRACTICAL TRAINING:
Consist of:
- 4 open water dives
- total dive time minimum 100 minutes
- maximum depth according to current certification level
PRACTICAL EXAM:
- conducted during open water dives
THEORETICAL EXAM:
- electronic single-choice test
CERTIFICATION:
- upon completion, participants receive an international IDF Navigation Diver certification
- ability to navigate consciously and orient underwater
- mastery of natural navigation and compass use
- increased safety and comfort during diving
