This course is designed for divers who want to fully understand the construction and operation of their diving equipment. The training develops practical service skills, enabling participants to maintain their equipment, perform basic repairs, and extend its lifespan.
REQUIREMENTS FOR CANDIDATES:
- minimum age 18
- IDF Open Water Diver certification (or equivalent certification from another diving organization)
COURSE DURATION:
- Theory Module
- practical workshops on the surface
THEORETICAL TRAINING:
The course is conducted based on the student manual and lectures delivered using official IDF training materials. Topics include:
- construction and operation of diving equipment
- basics of maintenance and servicing
- identifying wear and faults
- performing basic service tasks
- preparation for the theoretical exam
PRACTICAL TRAINING:
Consist of:
- workshop sessions on the surface
- practical exercises in maintenance and basic repairs
THEORETICAL EXAM:
- online test
CERTIFICATION:
- upon completion, participants receive an international IDF Service Technician certification
- basic service and maintenance knowledge
- ability to perform simple repairs
- increased safety through better understanding of equipment
