TECHNICAL ICE DIVER
This course is designed for experienced divers who want to develop their ice diving skills to a technical level. The training covers advanced planning of ice dives, team coordination, and handling complex situations under an overhead environment.
REQUIREMENTS FOR CANDIDATES:
- minimum age 18
- Advanced Nitrox Diver
- Ice Diver
- medical fitness to participate in the course
COURSE DURATION:
- Theory Module
- Practical Module in Open Water Conditions
THEORETICAL TRAINING:
The course is conducted based on the student manual and lectures delivered using official training materials.
Topics include:
- Planning technical ice diving operations
- Under-ice hazards and safety strategies
- Equipment configuration for demanding conditions
- Use of lines and specialized equipment
- Emergency procedures and teamwork
- preparation for the theoretical exam
PRACTICAL TRAINING:
Consist of:
- 6 dives in open water
- Total dive time of at least 240 minutes
- Maximum depth: 50 meters
PRACTICAL EXAM:
- conducted during ice dives
THEORETICAL EXAM:
- online test
CERTIFICATION:
- Ability to plan and conduct technical under-ice dives
- Safe operation in complex situations under an overhead environment
- Development of teamwork and rescue skills
