COURSE OBJECTIVE:
The aim of the course is to properly prepare the diver for further technical and cave diving training, as well as to improve the quality and efficiency of diving both individually and as a team. Standardization of procedures related to emergency situations and teamwork. The course focuses mainly on the following elements: proper weighting and perfect buoyancy, finning techniques, teamwork, V-drill – exercises related to gas leaks and leak management, S-drill – skills related to gas sharing in emergency situations, exercises related to light failure and SMB deployment.
THEORETICAL TRAINING:
The theoretical training covers the following topics: conscious use of personal equipment, dive preparation, dive briefing, use of Nitrox, teamwork, dive visualization.
PRACTICAL TRAINING:
Consist of:
- 4 open water dives with a total time of minimum 100 minutes
- maximum depth according to current certification level
REQUIREMENTS FOR CANDIDATES:
- each candidate must hold Advanced Open Water Diver certification and specialties: Twin Set Diver, Dry Suit and Basic Nitrox
- minimum age 16 (under 18 requires parental consent)
- Possession of a valid medical certificate of fitness to dive
- valid diving insurance
- requirement to pass a swimming test: 350 m in no more than 14 minutes and 25 m breath-hold underwater
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS:
- Basic Open Water Sidemount Diver or Twinset Diver
