WHAT WILL YOU LEARN IN THE COURSE?
The PSAI RAPID Program Diver course develops the skills needed to provide first aid and carry out rescue procedures during diving emergencies.
During the training, you will learn:

The aim of the course is to prepare participants to respond calmly, confidently, and effectively in diving emergencies and rescue situations.
COURSE INFORMATION
- Minimum Age: 15 years (Participants under the age of 18 must have written consent from a parent or legal guardian.)
- Prerequisites for the First Aid Module: Basic or junior diving certification, completed required documentation
- Prerequisites for the Rescue Diver Module: Advanced Open Water Sport Diver certification or an equivalent qualification, a minimum of 40 logged dives, and a valid medical clearance for diving.
- Health requirements: A health condition that allows participation in the course
- First Aid and CPR: Minimum of 4 hours of theoretical and practical training
- Rescue Diver: Minimum of 10 hours of training, with at least half of the course conducted in open water.
- Theory: First aid, CPR, emergency situations, rescue procedures, and legal considerations.
- Practical Training: CPR manikin exercises, first aid simulations, and in-water rescue scenarios.
- Water Skills: Locating and recovering an unconscious diver from a depth of approximately 5 meters, towing the injured diver for about 50 meters, and recovering the diver onto shore or into a boat.
- Practical Examination: Assessment of the correct performance of CPR, first aid, and rescue procedures.
- Certification: PSAI RAPID Program Diver, PSAI Rescue Diver, PSAI CPR First Aid
- First Aid Qualification Validity: A refresher course is required every 2 years
