The Advanced Open Water Diver (AOWD) course is the next step for certified divers who want to gain new experience, improve their skills, and explore different types of diving.
The program includes 5 themed dives. Two of them – deep diving and underwater navigation – are mandatory, while you can choose the remaining three according to your interests. This allows you to tailor the course to the direction in which you want to develop your passion for diving.
Upon successful completion of the course, you will receive the internationally recognised Advanced Open Water Diver certification, allowing you to dive to depths of up to 30 metres.

WHAT WILL YOU LEARN IN THE COURSE?
The Advanced Open Water Diver course is all about practical experience. During five dives, you will develop your skills in different conditions and gain the experience needed to become a more confident and capable diver.
During the course:
- You will learn how to safely plan and conduct deeper dives.
- You will improve your underwater navigation skills.
- You will improve your buoyancy control and underwater orientation.
- You will learn new techniques and types of diving

The aim of the course is to gain practical experience and prepare you for more advanced dives and further stages of your diving education.

- Prerequisites: Open Water Diver certification or equivalent qualification

HOW DOES THE COURSE WORK?
From your first themed dive to gaining new skills and the qualification to dive to depths of up to 30 metres.
Deep Diving
You will learn how to plan deeper dives safely and respond confidently to changing conditions as depth increases.
Underwater navigation
You will improve your underwater navigation skills and learn to use a compass and natural reference points more effectively.
Three Dives of Your Choice
You will choose three additional dives, allowing you to develop the skills that interest you most.

My name is Beniamin Schydlo, and I am the owner of the Demon Ray Dive Center.
For many years, I have been training recreational divers, technical divers, and future instructors. Today, I am responsible not only for conducting courses but also for maintaining the training standards of our dive centre and the high level at which our team operates.
At Demon Ray, we believe that quality training is about much more than earning a certification. It means individual guidance, a relaxed atmosphere, and learning to dive safely and confidently, so our students feel comfortable both during their very first dive and throughout every stage of their diving journey.

Five Themed Dives

Upon completing the course, you will receive the Advanced Open Water Diver certification, allowing you to dive to depths of up to 30 metres.

We adapt the course schedule to you—not the other way around.
We know that work, school, and family commitments do not always make it easy to attend courses with fixed schedules. That’s why at Demon Ray we do our best to adapt the course schedule to the availability of our students.
We schedule the theory sessions, pool training, and open water dives in a way that fits your routine and does not interfere with your everyday commitments.
