WHAT WILL YOU LEARN IN THE COURSE?
The Underwater Navigation Diver PSAI course develops the skills required to confidently plan and navigate underwater routes.
During the training, you will learn:
- Effects of visibility, sound, currents, tides, and wave action
- Principles of natural navigation
- Using bottom contours and underwater landmarks for navigation
- Navigation using light, depth, and current direction
- Types and construction of diving compasses
- Proper use of a diving compass underwater
- Navigation on a predetermined bearing

The objective of the course is to prepare divers to confidently use a compass and natural navigation references during dives.
COURSE INFORMATION
- Minimum age: 15 years (For participants under the age of 18, consent from both parents or legal guardians is required.)
- Prerequisites: Basic or Junior scuba diving certification, Valid medical clearance for diving
- Health requirements: Fit to participate in the course.
- Theory: Aquatic environment, natural navigation, compass design and types, compass use, distance estimation
- Practical training: Diving on a designated bearing, diving following a predetermined geometric pattern
- Required equipment: Basic SCUBA diving equipment, diving compass
- Maximum depth: According to the participant's current certification level.
