This course is designed for divers who want to take their skills to the next level and learn how to respond effectively in emergency situations. The training increases awareness, teaches accident prevention, and prepares participants to act efficiently in rescue scenarios both underwater and at the surface.
REQUIREMENTS FOR CANDIDATES:
- minimum age 15
- IDF Advanced Open Water Diver certification (or equivalent certification from another diving organization)
- IDF First Aid Response certification (or equivalent certification from another diving organization, valid up to 2 years)
- medical fitness to participate in the course
COURSE DURATION:
- Theory Module
- Practical Module in Open Water Conditions
- first aid training
THEORETICAL TRAINING:
The course is conducted based on the student manual and lectures delivered using official IDF training materials. Topics include:
- recognizing risk situations and accident prevention
- rescue procedures underwater and at the surface
- stress management and emergency response
- organization of rescue operations
- preparation for the theoretical exam
PRACTICAL TRAINING:
Consist of:
- 4 open water dives
- total dive time minimum 100 minutes
- simulated rescue scenarios at the surface
PRACTICAL EXAM:
- conducted during dives and rescue scenarios
THEORETICAL EXAM:
- electronic single-choice test
CERTIFICATION:
- upon completion, participants receive an international IDF Rescue Diver certification
- ability to recognize and prevent dangerous situations
