SCOOTER (DPV)

This course is designed for individuals who want to expand their diving experience with the use of DPV propulsion units. The entire course is conducted in an open water environment.

COURSE OBJECTIVE:

The training consists of a theoretical part covering topics such as: the history of DPV development in diving, types and models of scooters, DPV dive planning, team position, and maintenance. The second part includes land-based workshops where the participant learns how to balance the scooter, adjust the line length, and understand its construction and operation. The in-water part includes 3–4 dives within a depth range of 5 to 20 meters, with a series of exercises starting from proper buoyancy and trim with the scooter to handling emergency situations such as emergency braking, collision avoidance, towing a diver with a damaged scooter, or gas sharing.
