TECHNICAL ICE DIVER
This course is designed for experienced divers who want to develop their ice diving skills to a technical level. The training covers advanced planning of ice dives, team coordination, and handling complex situations under an overhead environment.
REQUIREMENTS FOR CANDIDATES:
• minimum age 18
• Advanced Nitrox Diver certification
• Ice Diver certification
• medical fitness to participate in the course
COURSE DURATION:
• theoretical module
• practical module in open water
THEORETICAL TRAINING:
The course is conducted based on the student manual and lectures delivered using official training materials.
Topics include:
• planning technical ice dives
• risks and safety strategies under ice
• equipment configuration for demanding conditions
• use of lines and specialized tools
• emergency procedures and team coordination
• preparation for the theoretical exam
PRACTICAL TRAINING:
Consist of:
• 6 open water dives
• total dive time minimum 240 minutes
• maximum depth 50 meters
PRACTICAL EXAM:
• conducted during ice dives
EGZAMIN TEORETYCZNY:
• online test
CERTIFICATION:
• ability to plan and conduct technical ice dives
• safe operation in complex overhead environments
• advanced teamwork and emergency skills
