Safe Diving with a Surface Marker Buoy
In many dive sites, currents and boat traffic can pose challenges for divers. Boat operators may not always be aware of divers in the area, and currents can carry you further than expected. Deploying a DSMB before surfacing is an effective way to signal your position. Additionally, the DSMB line can serve as a reference point for your safety stop, especially in low visibility or strong currents.
The course includes a theoretical session focusing on the practical use of the DSMB and two open water dives where participants practice applying their skills in real-life scenarios.
